I am a woodworker transplanted from Southeast Michigan to Leelanau County in 2015. My working career progressed from building standard and Euro style cabinets in wood and formica, to developing a personal style that focuses on grain matching. Along the way, I won three Hour Detroit Home Design Awards for both cabinets and furniture. My original furniture projects involved beds, tables, chairs etc. for my family. I like blending sophisticated elements with an appreciation of rustic natural wood. My influences range from George Nakashima and James Krenov to Beidermeier, sometimes blending them all together. My woodshop/studio is crammed with large slabs of walnut, maple, and assorted interesting woods waiting for an appropriate project.
