Meta Joutras
Meta Joutras lives with her husband in Northfield, Illinois. She enjoys painting daily with three fellow artists at Treetop Studio in Winnetka, Illinois. Meta has always enjoyed midwestern landscapes and the farm animals that live there as her subject matter. For many years now she has spent her summers on Glen Lake near Traverse City, Michigan. Here she has been inspired by the farm land, magestic sand dunes, and the crystal blue waters of Lake Michigan and Glen Lake for much of her subject matter. She hopes that the serenity and magic of something so simple as a beautiful white cloud rising over a soft gold field or the whimsy of a hen, rooster, sheep, pig or cow will give her viewer the same sense of inspiration it has always given her.
